Everyday Unwrapped

Emily of Chatting at the Sky is inviting all of us to notice the joy,"...the messy, the lovely, and the unexpected" of this season. Read her words from last week about doing this here. I'm with you, Emily. Especially this year, I want to capture the everyday, special little moments of this season. They are gifts.

Here's one of mine:

Kissing Baby Jesus

my nephew showing me Mary kissing Baby Jesus

This is the very essence of Christmas to me -- one word --

Love.

This is a profound picture to me. I love the look on my nephew's face: so tender! He is a special little boy with a wonderful heart.

Our little family's cup is running over with all the love and tenderness that we have received from everyone around us. This picture means even more to me after the events of last week -- it symbolizes Christmas to me on a lot of different levels. But it always comes back to love. ♥♥♥

Hope you are having a blessed season, and noticing your everyday gifts.

You caught such a precious moment, thanks for sharing it! I like this new perspective of enjoying the holiday season, with all its tender moments and blessings, with all its imperfections.

I am counting down the days till the kids are home from school. This year my husband is taking that time off as well so we will have lots of time to just be together. That I think is the most precious gift that we are going to get this year. The knowledge that no matter what is under the tree we are going go and make some lasting memories together. That is what this time is all about. Loved the picture too, I love watching my kids play with the nativity, it is soft and I am always wondering where the baby Jesus is going to end up. ♥
