Words to Live By

Nob Hill Winter

Winter is the time for comfort, for good food and warmth,
for the touch of a friendly hand and for a talk beside the fire:
it is the time for home.

I've been following your blog for some time, never commenting, but I have got to make an exception here, this quote really jumps out at me. I've always loved winter and the family atmosphere that it brings. It's as if the snow has a magical effect that brings people together (other than how it forces everyone to stay indoors, of course). My family isn't exactly perfect, but when winter comes it gets pretty close. Oh great, now I'm crying a bit because of all the memories of winter... I wish it would last forever. There's still the rest of January and February though so I should be happy. Great quote!

I can't say that Winter is my very favorite season, but I do *love* all the coziness it brings: family and friends, home, food, hot cocoa...even the clothes -- the yummy sweaters and scarves and coats.

Each season brings its own charms...
